Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinton Jackson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Jackson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jackson to his feet.
Jones throws a chopping leg kick but Jackson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Jones stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.

Jones rushes Jackson and presses him up against the ropes.
Jones tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jackson stalling in the clinch but Jones improves position.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones scores with a one two! Jackson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jones tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
