The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin keeps the fight on the outside.
Chapel changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Griffin throws the left hand but Chapel avoids the punch easily.
Chapel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chapel dodges the punch combination from Griffin.
Chapel throws a nice inside leg kick.
Griffin swings away with a body shot that misses
and Chapel counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Griffin thinking.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Chapel lands with a good body shot.
Bart Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An inside leg kick lands from Chapel.
Chapel misses with an attempted mid kick.

Chapel drops his shoulder and cracks Griffin with a huge uppercut! Griffin goes down! Can Chapel finish him?

Griffin is rocked!

It looks like Bart Griffin has been cut.
Chapel works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Oh Griffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chapel slows the pace down in half guard.
Let's hope that Chapel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Griffin seems to have got his legs back now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Trent Chapel.
Chapel fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Griffin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Griffin throws a lazy right hand but Chapel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Chapel uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin.
Chapel scoring well with a low kick there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chapel stuns Griffin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chapel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Griffin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Griffin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Griffin takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Chapel steps in with a hook that catches Griffin right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Chapel follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Griffin looks absolutely devastated.
