The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Masaru defends it nicely.
Masaru lands a really nice looking cross but Takahashi seems unphased.
Masaru stuns Takahashi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Takahashi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Takahashi dives in and grabs Masaru's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masaru pushes down on Takahashi's head and hops out.
Tadashi Masaru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kushin Takahashi.
Masaru digs a good body shot into Takahashi's ribs.
Takahashi looks gassed!
Masaru throws a series of punches but Takahashi moves out of range.
Takahashi fails to land the takedown.
Masaru connects with a combination that backs up Takahashi into the cage. Masaru lands a flurry of punches that gets past Takahashi's guard. Takahashi is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Masaru bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
