The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lima has managed to clinch.

Nowak is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Lima tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Nowak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Przemyslaw Nowak hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lima moves out of range as Nowak strikes.

Nowak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nowak wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lima, who protects the arm well.
Nowak tries to advance position but instead Lima slips a leg back in to half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lima is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
