Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus Frost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost misses with a series of wild punches.

Frost throws a series of punches but Lapointe moves out of range.

Frost shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lapointe but Lapointe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Lapointe wants to take a breather but Frost is having none of it.
Lapointe thows a huge punch but Frost dodges it nicely.
Frost manages to get to full guard.

Frost knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lapointe on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Lapointe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lapointe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lapointe prevents Frost from getting back to his feet.

Frost wants to stand up but Lapointe is controlling him.

Frost tries to bum rush Lapointe with a series of wild strikes but Lapointe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Frost looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Frost, as that shot connected.
Frost doesn't manage to clinch there - Lapointe circles away.
Frost connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Lapointe tumbling to the canvas! Frost pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Lapointe was done - good stoppage!
