The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgrath changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Melendez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Melendez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mcgrath is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mcgrath is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Melendez is controlling him well.

Melendez goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mcgrath rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Melendez's guard! Nice work there by Mcgrath!
