Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brayden Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Silence by Nobody. Lee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In The Morning kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcelo Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brayden Lee!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lee throws out the jab.
Lee tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Garcia decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Garcia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lee defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garcia has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lee has managed to get both his arms back between Garcia's legs - danger averted.
Garcia is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee gets to his feet - Garcia follows without any prompting.

Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Garcia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.

Garcia is working for a submission of some sort.
Lee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garcia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garcia tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Lee is not content to let Garcia control the position.

Garcia is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is trying to maintain the position but Garcia is very close to passing his half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcelo Garcia wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Garcia looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lee!

Garcia jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lee manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lee tries to buck Garcia off but Garcia is having none of it.

Lee is trying to get back to his feet.

Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Garcia takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lee throws a low kick but Garcia moves out of range easily.

Garcia has hold of Lee's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lee seems comfortable defending it but Garcia has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lee is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lee is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Garcia couldn't care less - he's delighted!
