Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikko Kuustonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Snarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mikko Kuustonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brad Snarke!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snarke throws a right and a left that Kuustonen avoids nicely.
Snarke thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kuustonen if he has to take too many more of those.
Kuustonen moves out of range of the body kick from Snarke.

Snarke closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Snarke manages to break the clinch.
Kuustonen with a poor takedown
and Snarke counters with an inside leg kick.
Kuustonen on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kuustonen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kuustonen closes the distance but Snarke moves to the side

and Snarke counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kuustonen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Snarke walks away with a smile on his face. Kuustonen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Snarke moves into the clinch successfully.

Snarke pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice cross by Snarke.
No joy there for Kuustonen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Snarke clinches up with Kuustonen and pushes him back against the ropes.

Snarke breaks the clinch.
Kuustonen tries for a takedown but Snarke circles away easily
and Snarke finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Kuustonen is breathing heavily.

Snarke has closed the distance and engaged Kuustonen in a clinch.
Kuustonen tries to pull guard but Snarke holds him up against the ropes and eventually Kuustonen drops back down to his feet.

Snarke breaks from the clinch.
Brad Snarke is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Snarke lands a big head kick that sends Kuustonen tumbling to the mat! Snarke takes a step backwards and waves Kuustonen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Snarke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kuustonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Snarke counters by moving into the clinch.
Kuustonen tries to pull guard but Snarke holds him up against the ropes and eventually Kuustonen drops back down to his feet.
Kuustonen jumps guard but Snarke stands there with Kuustonen around his waist. Kuustonen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Snarke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Snarke digs a good body shot into Kuustonen's ribs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Snarke clinches.
Kuustonen jumps guard but Snarke stands there with Kuustonen around his waist. Kuustonen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kuustonen tries to pull guard but Snarke won't allow it.

Kuustonen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kuustonen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Snarke throws a head kick that Kuustonen semi-blocks.
Snarke fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kuustonen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Snarke looks to land a body kick but Kuustonen moved away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Snarke darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Snarke gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Snarke breaks from the clinch.
Kuustonen takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Snarke throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kuustonen moves out of range as Snarke throws a body kick.
Snarke turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Kuustonen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Snarke scores with a push kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kuustonen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Snarke - the referee stops the clock and Kuustonen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Snarke. Kuustonen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Snarke throws a head kick that half lands.
Snarke jabs at Kuustonen's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brad Snarke dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Snarke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mikko Kuustonen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters circling a little - Snarke finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Kuustonen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Snarke dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kuustonen. That did some damage!
Snarke is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kuustonen rather than just go for the knockout.
Snarke lands a leg kick that knocks Kuustonen off balance momentarily.
Snarke tries to land a front kick but Kuustonen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kuustonen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Snarke tries to land a front kick but Kuustonen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Snarke ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Snarke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Snarke throws a push kick but Kuustonen slaps the foot to one side.
Kuustonen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Snarke moves into the clinch successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Brad Snarke showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A frustrated look appears on Kuustonen's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kuustonen tries to pull guard but Snarke holds him up against the ropes and eventually Kuustonen drops back down to his feet.

Kuustonen jumps guard and drags Snarke to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kuustonen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Snarke's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kuustonen looking to sit in guard and control but Snarke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Snarke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kuustonen has his foot on Snarke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snarke works his way back into a safe position though.

Kuustonen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snarke defends well.

Kuustonen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mikko Kuustonen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kuustonen has his foot on Snarke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Snarke works his way back into a safe position though.

Kuustonen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snarke defends it easily.
Snarke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuustonen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snarke is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Kuustonen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Snarke controls the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kuustonen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Snarke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kuustonen has a closed guard, preventing Snarke from standing up.

Kuustonen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Snarke has picked Kuustonen up and slammed him! Kuustonen can't keep hold of the triangle and Snarke manages to pass to side control!
Brad Snarke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Snarke stands up.
Kuustonen takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brad Snarke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Snarke winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
