The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kage on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kage misses with a few strikes there.
Kage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Piper II was well out of range. Poor timing from Kage.

Kage clinches up against the cage.
Kage lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kage lands a hook to the side of the head.
Piper II is looking to break free of the clinch but Kage has double underhooks.
Piper II lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Kagoshima Kage has been cut.
Piper II wants a takedown but no success here.
Kage pushes Piper II back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Piper II is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kage pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kage as Piper II tries to tie him up.
Kage gets through Piper II's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kage tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Piper II blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kage working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Kage tries to free his leg and advance position but Piper II is retaining full guard.

Kage wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Piper II's closed guard. He's half up but Piper II has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Piper II pivots and extends the arm, Kage falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Piper II! Well done that man!
