The crowd seem to be enjoying Knox's choice of entrance music: "Another Body Murdered". John Knox has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rolfes shoots and misses
and Knox counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rolfes won't be happy with that.
Rolfes wants to control but Knox postures up.
Rolfes gets back to half guard.
Rolfes regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Knox.
Knox pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rolfes is keeping the position for now.
Knox wants to control from the top but Rolfes keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Knox wasn't active enough on the ground.
Knox throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rolfes lands a body shot.
Rolfes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Knox counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Knox rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rolfes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Knox won't be happy with that.
Rolfes is looking to take a break and control but Knox is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Knox is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Rolfes looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Rolfes creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Knox sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rolfes trying to control the action but Knox is working from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Knox's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Knox is looking for a sweep.
Knox is not content to let Rolfes control the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Knox is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rolfes controls the position from side control.

Rolfes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Knox is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rolfes yanks on the arm and Knox is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rolfes.
