Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Ramis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taranga Avalon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taranga Avalon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cain Ramis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avalon looks to throw the jab but Ramis is out of range.
Avalon swings for the body but Ramis moves out of range.
Ramis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ramis there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ramis throws a nice looking combination but Avalon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ramis throws a leg kick but Avalon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Avalon misses with a low kick.
Ramis feints and then cracks Avalon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Avalon down.
Avalon slips under a jab.

Avalon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Avalon on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Avalon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Ramis looks to score with a jab to the body but Avalon is just out of range.

Avalon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ramis fakes the leg kick and cracks Avalon in the body.

Ramis motions for Avalon to come forward. Ramis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Avalon throws a looping overhand right but Ramis ducks down to avoid it.

Ramis slips under a jab.
Avalon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ramis moves away.
Avalon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ramis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Avalon moves in looking to clinch but Ramis pushes him off.

Avalon throws an overhand right that lands on Ramis's shoulder, as Ramis tries to avoid the shot.
Avalon throws a quick inside leg kick.
Avalon wants to clinch.

Avalon closes the distance and clinches.
Avalon's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Avalon is working Ramis over against the cage.

Avalon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ramis scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Avalon misses with a straight right.
Ramis jabbing away but nothing is landing.

A looping hook to the body misses from Ramis. Avalon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Avalon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ramis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Avalon counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ramis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Avalon manages to avoid it.
Ramis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ramis throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ramis takes a swing at Avalon's ribcage but misses.

Avalon sends Ramis crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Avalon is motioning to the referee to let Ramis up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ramis fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Avalon just misses with a punch to the body.
Avalon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ramis pivots, looking for a leg kick but Avalon is out of range and Ramis settles back down.
Ramis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Avalon getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Avalon throws out a loose jab but Ramis uses good head movement to avoid it.
A low kick from Ramis is predictable there
and Ramis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Cain Ramis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ramis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Avalon lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ramis falls backwards - clearly groggy! Avalon dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
