Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between aigars brencis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and hei jari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). brencis comes to the cage accompanied by petter. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jari ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
jari moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

brencis gets a clinch.

jari's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
brencis gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
brencis scores with a jab.
brencis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
brencis scores with a one two! jari had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
jari throws a shot to the body.
jari ducks under a wild hook from brencis.
brencis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A looping hook to the body misses from brencis. jari does a little dance to reset his feet.
jari darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
jari misses with an uppercut. brencis saw that one coming.
brencis fails in his attempt to clinch.
jari smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
brencis lands with a straight right. jari didn't see that one coming.
brencis falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling jari to counter with a crisp jab.
The fighters circling - brencis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
jari fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but brencis is out of range.
brencis misses with a combination
and brencis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and jari counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

jari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
jari uses good head movement to avoid the hook from brencis.
jari lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by jari.
Oh brencis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
jari cracks brencis with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends brencis tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but jari pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! brencis is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
