PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Bridges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bridges comes to the cage accompanied by Ludacris - Get Back. Peppers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Day N Nite-Kid Cudi. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers takes a swing at Bridges 's ribcage but misses.
Bridges blocks a head kick by Peppers.
Peppers throws a leg kick which misses Bridges 's front leg but catches the back leg as Bridges tries to avoid it.

Bridges gets a takedown into half guard.
Bridges seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peppers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bridges is looking to stall here but Peppers recovers full guard.
Peppers working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bridges .

Bridges has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bridges wants the takedown. Peppers is fighting it off but Bridges persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Peppers's guard against the cage.

Peppers tries to land a front kick but Bridges steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peppers tries to free his leg and advance position but Bridges is retaining full guard.

Bridges breaks from Peppers's wrist control and lands an elbow.
