Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Smith. Lad shrugs it off though.

Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Lad is keeping the position.
Smith with a flurry of punches that miss.

Smith stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Lad gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith misses with a head kick.
Lad with a poor takedown
and Smith counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lad is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Lad shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Smith counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lad's guard.

Smith stands up and beckons Lad to join him on the feet.
Lad is breathing heavily.

Smith scores a takedown into full mount!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lad wants to try and get back to his feet.
Smith lands a big shot there that rocks Lad but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lad srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.
I would not like to be Lad right now.
Smith's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith has Lad flattened out and is raining down punches.
Good control from Smith.

Smith patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

Lad is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Smith off. It looks like it's working - Smith slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Lad displaying calm under pressure there.
Lad misses with a takedown
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Lad. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith scores with a nice body kick.
Jack Lad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith scores with a spinning back kick!
Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Jack Lad has been cut.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lad. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Smith lands a left and a right that send Lad crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lad is rocked!
Smith seems to be stalking Lad here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Lad drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
