Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Svenson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Oxbigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Oxbigg has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Svenson Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Oxbigg!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oxbigg shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Oxbigg has a takedown stuffed.
Mike Oxbigg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oxbigg fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Svenson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Oxbigg.
Oxbigg closes the distance and clinches up with Silva, looking for a takedown. Oxbigg pushes Silva against the cage but Silva circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Oxbigg tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Silva lands with an uppercut that bounces Oxbigg off the cage and back into rage.

Oxbigg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva tries to roll over but Oxbigg keeps him under control.

Oxbigg tries to stand but Silva is controlling from the bottom.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Silva has his foot on Oxbigg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oxbigg works his way back into a safe position though.
Silva bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Oxbigg's guard.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Oxbigg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Oxbigg has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Silva throws a big right hand that misses.

Oxbigg looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.

Silva goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Oxbigg has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Silva but great work by Oxbigg.

Oxbigg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva is looking for a triangle but Oxbigg pushes his legs off easily.
Oxbigg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Oxbigg is one step ahead there.

Silva lands a decent punch to the body there.

Oxbigg avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is looking to sinch up a triangle. Oxbigg throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Silva's body to avoid the submission. Silva has instead reached around Oxbigg's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Silva arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
