Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Paul Bostik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bostik shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Michael Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bostik tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bostik uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones is taking a breather. Bostik says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
