Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogun Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sanshouo no Hanzou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa wants to clinch up but Hanzou keeps it at a distance.
Hanzou circles away from the clinch attempt.
Boa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boa throws a right and a left that Hanzou avoids nicely.
Hanzou keeps the fight on the outside.
Boa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hanzou moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hanzou blocks a low kick nicely.
Hanzou stuffs the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hanzou takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hanzou drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hanzou working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hanzou has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hanzou forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanzou is working for a kimura but Boa is defending it quite comfortably.
Hanzou frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Poor strikes thrown by Hanzou there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hanzou is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Boa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hanzou with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Hanzou looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hanzou has control of Boa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hanzou can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boa is looking to escape.
Boa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hanzou unloads with some shots from mount but Boa bucks and avoids them well.

Hanzou goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Boa turns into him and now he's in Hanzou's guard.

Hanzou has his foot on Boa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boa works his way back into a safe position though.

Hanzou pushes a forearm under Boa's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Boa is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
