Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Repe Sorsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fanning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Repe Sorsa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fanning throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fanning swings widly with a right hand
and Sorsa counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fanning won't be happy with that.
Fanning is trying to improve his position.
Fanning prevents Sorsa from moving into mount.
You can see the frustration on Fanning's face as Sorsa controls the position.
Fanning is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sorsa asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sorsa regains half guard there - taking advantage of Fanning's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Repe Sorsa will probably get the nod.

Fanning throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fanning ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sorsa moves away.
Sorsa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fanning counters with a right hand to the body.
Sorsa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fanning throws a right and a left that Sorsa avoids nicely.

and Sorsa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Fanning is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sorsa's shoulder. That is not cool.
Fanning wants to take a breather but Sorsa manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Fanning.
Fanning slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sorsa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fanning is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sorsa is controlling him.
Fanning is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
