Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Blart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blart tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice defenses there by Blart.

Blart decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lane is trying to stand back up but Blart is controlling him
Lane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blart is working away from the top position though.

Lane looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Blart throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Blart is looking to take a break and control but Lane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lane is in trouble now - Blart has advanced to mount!
Blart works his way to his opponent's back.
Lane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blart on the ground.
Blart is looking to control Lane but Lane is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Blart lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lane has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Lane tries to escape the position.
Blart lands a shot to the body.


It looks like Billy Lane has been cut.
Blart trying to control momentarily.
Lane trying to control the hands but Blart won't let him.
Lane staying busy and making it hard for Blart to control.
Lane is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Lane controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad spot.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Blart is looking for the choke from the back position but Lane is controlling his hands well.

Blart is persistently looking for the submission but Lane is defending it well.
Lane's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Blart's hands.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lane rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Lane is trying to stand up here but Blart is controlling him well.

Lane pushes Blart off and gets back to his feet.
Lane connects with the punch.
Blart takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lane lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lane lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Lane scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blart in his tracks.
Lane moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Lane misses with a double jab.
Blart walks into a straight right hand from Lane.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lane leaves Blart with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Paul Blart will probably get the nod.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Lane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blart doesn't seem bothered though.

Lane throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Paul Blart has been cut.
Lane throws a series of punches but Blart avoids them all with ease.
Lane cracks Blart with an open hand slap.
Blart walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Blart looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
A left and a right from Lane both land. Nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lane works over Blart's head and body with a nice combination.


Blart is rocked!
Lane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Blart is still on wobbly legs! Can Lane finish him?
Lane lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Blart seems to have recovered his senses.
Billy Lane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Blart takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Lane lands with an overhand left.
Lane scores with a jab to the head.
Lane is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Blart takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lane lands a glancing blow to the side of Blart's head.
Blart throws a nice outside leg kick.
Blart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lane throws a lazy right hand but Blart sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lane is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Blart looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lane is fending him off so far but Blart persists. Nope, Lane circles away and we're back to standing.
Lane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Blart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lane wants to get back to his feet.

Blart decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Blart tries to clinch up but Lane circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice uppercut lands for Lane. That snapped Blart's head back.
Billy Lane is winning the standup battle so far.
Lane tries to bum rush Blart with a series of wild strikes but Blart uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Blart slips a straight right by Lane.
Lane lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lane throws a big shot that misses.
Lane stuffs the takedown attempt from Blart. Blart gets slowly back to his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Blart 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lane is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Blart has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Blart lands with a thumping leg kick.
Blart moves in looking to clinch but Lane pushes him off.
Donk. Lane catches Blart right on the button with a cross.
Good exchange - Lane coming out on top.
Lane throws a series of punches but Blart avoids them all with ease.
Lane throws the left hand but Blart avoids the punch easily.
Blart throws a shot from downtown. Lane moves away and avoids it.
Lane throws a series of strikes that have Blart backpedaling.
Lane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blart.
Blart has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Blart has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lane finds it's way round the side to connect with Blart's head.
Lane misses with a looping left.

Blart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lane can't do much from the bottom here.

Blart working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Blart postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lane to stand up.
Lane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blart tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lane swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A nice combination there by Lane.
Lane lands with a nice body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Lane dominated that second round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Lane getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Blart walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Lane connects with a jab.
A big left from Blart misses.
Lane throws a body punch but Blart moves out of range.
Lane keeps the fight on the outside.
Blart takes one to the chin there.
Blart takes one to the side of the head.
Lane lands with an uppercut that bounces Blart off the cage and back into rage.
Blart throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lane's waist but Lane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blart off to one side.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Blart fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lane sprawls well initially but Blart persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Blart seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Lane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Lane throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Lane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Blart is controlling him.

Blart trying to control the position from guard on top but Lane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Lane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Paul Blart wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lane tests Blart's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lane cracks Blart with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lane misses with the combination.
Blart wants to clinch.
Blart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lane sprawls well. Lane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blart gets slowly back to his feet.

A nice combination there by Lane.
Blart is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Blart on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Lane throws a combination. Blart tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lane connects with a single shot there.
Lane lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lane.

Blart shoots in but Lane avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Billy Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Blart.
Blart takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lane lands with a right hand.
Blart tries to close the distance and clinch but Lane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Blart takes one on the button.
Lane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Blart takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lane throws a series of punches but Blart avoids them all with ease.

Blart clinches with his opponent.
Blart is struggling to control the position.
Lane is trying to force a seperation but Blart has the dominant position.
Lane is trying to break the clinch but Blart has him pressed against the cage.
Lane wants to break the clinch but can't.
Blart tries to land knees in the clinch but Lane avoids the damage to the body.
Blart has Lane pressed against the cage, preventing Lane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lane wants to break free but Blart has control.
Lane lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Blart tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lane is trying to break free.
Blart fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lane presses Blart against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

And that's the end of the fight!
Billy Lane showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
