Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolai Demikovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demikovic comes to the cage accompanied by Russian National Anthem. Kennedy has chosen Street Spirit (Fade Out) by RadioHead as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy scores with a jab to the body.
Kennedy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kennedy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Demikovic is out of range and Kennedy settles back down.
Demikovic dives in and grabs Kennedy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kennedy pushes down on Demikovic's head and hops out.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Demikovic.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Demikovic postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ground and pound from Demikovic seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Kennedy regains half guard, as Demikovic was trying to land strikes.
Demikovic tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Demikovic wants to stand up but Kennedy is controlling the position.

Nicolai Demikovic has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Kennedy wants to improve his position but Demikovic is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Demikovic in particular looking to stall.

Demikovic drives through and clinches with Kennedy against the cage.

Kennedy pushes Demikovic back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Demikovic blocks an uppercut.

Kennedy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kennedy gets underhooks to prevent Demikovic's takedown attempt.

Kennedy lands a jab to Demikovic's midsection.

Kennedy throws a left that rocks Demikovic and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kennedy dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Demikovic regain composure!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Demikovic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kennedy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Demikovic to see if he's OK.

Kennedy lands a strong strike to the head of Demikovic. That's dazed him! Kennedy looking to finish here. Demikovic is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Kennedy lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
