The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raith feints and as Franklin raises his hands in defense, Raith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Raith looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Raith trying to control but Franklin is working from the bottom.
Raith controlling from the top position.
Raith wants to pass the guard but Franklin is keeping the position.
Raith postures up in Franklin's guard and throws a big left but Franklin blocks it.
Raith slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Thomas Raith.

Franklin is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Raith dives into side control.

Raith has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Franklin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Raith yanks on the arm and Franklin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Raith.
