The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sichev doesn't manage to clinch there - Frick circles away.
Frick connects with the punch.
Frick stuffs the takedown.

Sichev instigates a clinch.
Frick has had enough of the clinch but Sichev keeps him there for the moment.
Frick gets underhooks to prevent Sichev's takedown attempt.
Frick is trying to break the clinch but Sichev is controlling him.
Sichev tries for a takedown but Frick manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Sichev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frick prevents a takedown attempt there.

Frick is fighting off a takedown attempt but Sichev is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Frick to the mat. Frick regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Frick is looking to stand up but Sichev isn't so interested in that idea.
Sichev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Frick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sichev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sichev drops back looking for a leg! Frick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frick manages to kick Sichev off! Sichev jumps back into Frick's guard.

Frick wants to stand up but Sichev is controlling him.

Frick pulls Sichev in to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frick can do anything to dispel that myth.

Frick is looking to stand back up but Sichev counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Frick.
Sichev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Frick's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sichev winds up and cracks Frick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
