PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Reinold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lecter's choice of entrance music: We're back we're pissed/ RKL. Dexter Lecter told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter swinging wilding here.

Reinold drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lecter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reinold is one step ahead there.

Reinold is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lecter can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Reinold wants to finish this one by submission but Lecter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Reinold.

Reinold goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lecter is on top in guard.

Reinold working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lecter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lecter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lecter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Reinold is pressing down on Lecter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lecter is holding on for now.
Reinold uses his free foot to push down on Lecter's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lecter.

Reinold has hold of Lecter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lecter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lecter is desperately trying to improve his position but Reinold has a good base and remains in mount.

Reinold takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Reinold will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Lecter is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Reinold gets his way!

Reinold has control of Lecter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lecter regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's time! Reinold's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Reinold clinches up with Lecter and pushes him back against the cage.

Reinold has hold of one of Lecter's legs. Lecter is fighting the takedown attempt but Reinold gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
