Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Kessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Nalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Paul Kessler has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Paul Kessler seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Nalls!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nalls misses with a looping right.
Nalls keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A slow jab from Kessler misses its intended target.
Kessler shoots in for a takedown but Nalls shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nalls blocks a jab.
Kessler lets loose with a powerful body kick. Nalls will feel that in the morning.

Kessler tries to land a front kick but Nalls steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A punch combination from Nalls misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kessler is defended easily by Nalls.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kessler dodges the punch combination from Nalls.
Nalls slips under a jab from Kessler.
Nalls uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kessler.

Kessler connects with the punch.
Nalls missing with a left hand there. Kessler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nalls swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kessler tries to clinch but Nalls is having none of it.
Nalls moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nalls moves out of range of the body kick.
Nalls blocks the body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
An inside leg kick lands from Kessler.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kessler stuffs the takedown attempt from Nalls. Nalls gets slowly back to his feet.
Nalls misses with a hook. Kessler ducked under it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Nalls lands a jab to the nose.
Nalls scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nalls misses with a body shot.

Kessler plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Kessler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kessler throws a leg kick but Nalls sees it coming and moves out of range.

Nalls ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kessler moves away.

Kessler's jab looks to have found its range, popping Nalls under the eye.
Kessler on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kessler connects with a body shot that sends Nalls's belly button to the back.
Paul Kessler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nalls throws a nice looking combination but Kessler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kessler.
Kessler throws a head kick that misses.
Nalls throws a shot from downtown. Kessler moves away and avoids it.
Kessler throws a nice inside leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kessler enables Nalls to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kessler manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kessler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Kessler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nalls.
Nalls misses with a body punch
and Kessler counters with a solid body kick.
Nalls misses with a head kick.
Kessler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nalls.

Nalls throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kessler counters with a nice uppercut.

Nalls swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kessler counters with a body kick that stops Nalls in his tracks momentarily.
Kessler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Jim Nalls has been cut.

Paul Kessler is winning the standup battle so far.
Kessler connects with a solid leg kick.
Kessler throws the kick towards the body but Nalls avoids it.

Kessler connects with a leg kick. Nalls looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nalls takes one on the button.
Kessler is looking to slow Nalls down with leg kicks.
Kessler feints and then cracks Nalls's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nalls down.
Kessler tries a head kick but it misses.

Nalls lands with a straight right. Kessler didn't see that one coming.
Kessler moves out of range of the strikes.
A telegraphed right hand from Kessler misses the target.
Nalls lands with a nice body kick.
Nalls checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kessler tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nalls swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A big right from Nalls misses.
Jim Nalls has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Paul Kessler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nalls swings for the body but Kessler moves out of range.
Kessler moves away from the strike by Nalls.
Kessler throws a combination that misses
and Nalls counters with a straight right hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul Kessler showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kessler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
