Smalls has chosen Loverboy - Working for the Weekend as his entrance music. Renaissance Smalls is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Shaq keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

so Smalls counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Smalls trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Shaq is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are battling for position here. Smalls manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Smalls has his foot on Shaq's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaq works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smalls has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shaq is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smalls.

Shaq rolls with it to try and escape but Smalls cranks on the arm and Shaq is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
