Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rune Edvall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Parrotface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edvall comes to the cage accompanied by Robert tepper - No easy way out. Sgt Parrotface is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrotface tries to close the distance and clinch up but Edvall swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Edvall lands a head kick. Parrotface smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A head kick misses from Edvall.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parrotface is defended easily by Edvall.
Edvall lands a glancing blow to the side of Parrotface's head.
Parrotface throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Edvall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parrotface tries to avoid it but Edvall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parrotface to the ground. Parrotface escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Parrotface fails with an attempt to clinch.
Edvall connects with a leg kick. Parrotface looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Parrotface shoots for a takedown but Edvall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Parrotface takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parrotface tries to score a power double leg takedown but Edvall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parrotface somewhat.
Rune Edvall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sgt Parrotface.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
