The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankinstein lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones moves forwards but Rankinstein connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rankinstein throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rankinstein takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jones is looking to clinch but Rankinstein is avoiding it.
Rankinstein scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rankinstein scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones looks gassed!
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rankinstein is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Rankinstein circles away and we're back to standing.
Rankinstein lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Rankinstein closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jones is rocked!
walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Jones limp body while Rankinstein jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
