Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Breque do Breleque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Poirier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Poirier will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poirier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Poirier misses with a left hand

so do Breleque counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Poirier wants to stand and escape but do Breleque is having none of it.
do Breleque wants to control from the top but Poirier keeps moving.
do Breleque is really struggling to control Poirier but he's trying to hold on to the position.
do Breleque advances position into side control!
do Breleque trying to control the action but Poirier is working from the bottom.
Poirier wants to get back to his feet but do Breleque drags him back down.
Poirier parries the strikes from do Breleque easily there. do Breleque is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Poirier to escape.
The ground and pound from do Breleque seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
do Breleque prevents Poirier from escaping the position.
do Breleque misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Poirier is trying to buck do Breleque off.

do Breleque tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
do Breleque trying to control the position but Poirier is working away.
do Breleque is trying to ground and pound but Poirier uses the momentary lack of control by do Breleque to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

do Breleque thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Poirier kicks off do Breleque and gets to his feet.
Poirier looks to throw the jab but do Breleque is out of range.
do Breleque takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Chris Poirier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poirier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from do Breleque.
Poirier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Poirier throws a series of punches but do Breleque moves out of range.

and do Breleque counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Poirier has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Let's hope that Poirier has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Poirier not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

do Breleque trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Poirier manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

do Breleque escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Poirier gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Poirier looking to improve position, pressing down on do Breleque's thigh with his hand. do Breleque seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Poirier paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Poirier's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! do Breleque picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
