Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Miquel Prado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Miquel Prado has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots and misses
enabling Prado to counter with a crisp jab.

Miquel Prado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Justin Gracie.

Prado gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Prado swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Prado on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Prado tries to get out of the position.

Gracie wants to pass the guard but Prado is keeping the position.
Prado can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Prado defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Prado is trying to escape the mount but Gracie keeps good control and instead manages to take Prado's back.

Prado is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Gracie gets his way!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Prado defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
