The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Usurpator shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wrecking Machine's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Usurpator is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Usurpator feints and as Wrecking Machine raises his hands in defense, Usurpator changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wrecking Machine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Usurpator doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Usurpator manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wrecking Machine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Usurpator's guard.
Usurpator is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wrecking Machine working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Usurpator wants to sweep here but Wrecking Machine controlling him for the moment.
Usurpator really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wrecking Machine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wrecking Machine accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wrecking Machine wants to control from the top but Usurpator keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Usurpator can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wrecking Machine loads up on a big left hand. Usurpator felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Wrecking Machine looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Usurpator can't hide his disappointment, as Wrecking Machine celebrates the victory.
