Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dimmy Hewston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dimmy Hewston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Moore!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore darts in trying to clinch

and Hewston counters with a shoot takedown. Moore fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moore avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hewston has gone for a leg lock! Moore slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hewston's guard.
Hewston has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Moore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hewston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moore has managed to get both his arms back between Hewston's legs - danger averted.

Moore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Moore decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hewston, up you get!

and Hewston counters with a single leg into guard. Moore didn't expect that.
Moore wants to get back to his feet but Hewston is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hewston throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moore works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hewston is looking to work some ground and pound but Moore has wrist control.

Hewston drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Moore dives on top into guard.

Hewston is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moore defends well.

Hewston had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Moore defends it easily.

Moore wanted to stand there but Hewston had control of the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hewston has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.

Moore rushes Hewston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hewston is trying to drag Moore to the mat but Moore just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Moore just leaning against Hewston, taking a breather.
Still in the clinch, Moore scores with a nice short uppercut.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Christopher Moore.
Moore tries to close the distance and clinch but Hewston swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Christopher Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hewston counters with a shoot takedown. Moore fights it but they end up in guard.
Hewston stops Moore from standing up.
Hewston throws a strike but Moore rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hewston looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Moore passes into half guard.

Moore decides to stand up.
Moore looks to clinch

and Hewston counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Moore!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hewston swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Moore is now in Hewston's guard. A big mistake from Hewston there, giving up the dominant position!
Dimmy Hewston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moore has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hewston is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher Moore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Hewston postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Moore is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hewston, into his guard.

Moore is posturing up here but Hewston has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Moore tries to roll out but it's too tight and Moore has to tap! Slick submission there by Hewston!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dimmy Hewston!
