Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mazard Unis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaze Hastings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hastings is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Blazin Hazen - Avarage Homeboy. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Unis throws an off balance right hand
letting Hastings counter with a right hand.
Hastings swats away the attempt to clinch by Unis.
Hastings misses with a takedown attempt - Unis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Unis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hastings misses with a double jab.
Hastings lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Hastings cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hastings stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Unis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hastings drops back looking for a leg! Unis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Unis manages to kick Hastings off! Hastings jumps back into Unis's guard.

It looks like Blaze Hastings has been cut.
Mazard Unis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A head kick from Unis lands but Hastings takes it in his stride.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Unis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Unis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hastings looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hastings looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hastings!

Well Hastings has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
