Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Duirmund OBrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Duirmund OBrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Delaney!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delaney changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. OBrien tries to avoid it but Delaney manages to keep hold of a leg and drag OBrien to the ground. OBrien escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

OBrien gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Delaney has picked OBrien up - he's going for a ride! Delaney dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
OBrien has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Delaney is working away from the top position though.
Delaney prevents OBrien from improving his position.
OBrien wants to control but Delaney is keeping busy and won't allow it.

OBrien seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Delaney does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Delaney jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as OBrien walks away with a smile on his face. Delaney gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Delaney is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! OBrien is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! OBrien has escaped and now he's on top!

Well OBrien has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
