PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ariel Ornias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quik Yin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yin has chosen I Got A Feeling (lol :P) as his entrance music. Quik Yin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 207.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ornias throws a body punch but Yin moves out of range.
Yin misses with a straight right.

and Ornias counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Yin's guard now.
Yin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ornias!

Ornias is really struggling to control Yin but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ornias uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yin.
Yin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ornias paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Yin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ornias throws out the jab.

Yin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ornias feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Yins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ornias tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yin swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ornias tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Yin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Yin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yin there as he acknowledges the shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ornias lands a jab to Yin's midsection.
Yin is still on wobbly legs! Can Ornias finish him?
Ornias steps in with a hook that catches Yin right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Ornias follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Yin looks absolutely devastated.
