Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cito Gaston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Uriel Black has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Uriel Black seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black slips a jab and a cross from Gaston.
Black cracks a nice hook into Gaston's ribs.
Gaston wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Gaston lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Black counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Black.
Black in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Black wants to control from the top but Gaston keeps moving.
Black works over Gaston with some ground and pound from guard.
Gaston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Black is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gaston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Black is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Uriel Black wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Black counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gaston's guard now.

Black wants to control from the top but Gaston keeps moving.
Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gaston works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Gaston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Black stands and throws Gaston's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Black throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Gaston is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gaston wants to control but Black postures up.
Black is putting a hurting on Gaston here, landing some big shots from side control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Black is trying to move to mount but Gaston reverses beautifully and ends up in Black's guard.
Black is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Black is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Gaston frees his head nicely. Oh but Black has switched to an armbar! Gaston is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
