The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo misses with a takedown attempt

and Ryder counters with a takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Ryder are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ryder cracks Angelo with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Ryder misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ryder lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Angelo takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Angelo is trying to stick to Ryder's back but Ryder is turning into Angelo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Angelo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ryder.
Ryder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Angelo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ryder has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Angelo has passed into side control.

Angelo tries for a kimura but Ryder is defending well.
Ryder is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Angelo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Ryder is looking to improve his position but Angelo isn't that keen on the idea.

Ryder tries to improve his position but Angelo has taken his back! Angelo has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Ryder tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Angelo pushes Ryder away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
