Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devon Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes into the arena with Requiem for a dream blaring out of the sound system. Jackson has chosen Trick Daddy-Lets Go as his entrance music. Devon Walker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to DJ Jackson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DJ Jackson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walker feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Walker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Walker missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jackson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Walker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Walker postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson is trying to control the position but Walker postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Walker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Walker distracts Jackson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jackson wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Walker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jackson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Walker advances position into side control!

Walker misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet but Walker is dominant here and he's now got Jackson's back!

Walker scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Jackson is looking for a way out.
Walker throws a series of strikes and Jackson wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
Walker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jackson's face.
Jackson looks gassed!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Walker is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jackson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The referee warns Jackson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Jackson is rocked!


It looks like DJ Jackson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walker scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jackson?
Jackson is still in real trouble! Can Walker finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
Walker trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Walker lands a nice shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson throws a good cross that connects.
Walker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Walker fails with the takedown
and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.
Walker shoots and misses
and Jackson counters with a stiff right hand.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt
and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Devon Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Walker moves away and avoids it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Walker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Walker wants to control the pace but Jackson is squirming around nicely.

Walker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Walker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jackson is desperately trying to improve his position but Walker has a good base and remains in mount.
Walker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Walker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


That has opened up DJ Jackson's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at DJ Jackson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Devon Walker!
