PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between MAN HUNTER (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ramon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramon has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HUNTER works the jab nicely.
Ramon takes a kick to the side of the head.
HUNTER looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ramon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. HUNTER defends it nicely.
HUNTER fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ramon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and HUNTER counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
HUNTER throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramon's waist but Ramon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing HUNTER off to one side.

HUNTER has Ramon up against the cage in a clinch.

Ramon tries to stand but HUNTER is controlling from the bottom.

HUNTER has Ramon pulled in close to control his posture.

so Ramon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Ramon got a little sloppy there for a moment and HUNTER has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramon has managed to get both his arms back between HUNTER's legs - danger averted.
Ramon slips nicely into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
HUNTER is trying to control but can't.

Ramon moves to clinch but HUNTER breaks away
and HUNTER counters with a solid body kick.
HUNTER defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ramon.
Ramon takes a head kick and keeps coming.
HUNTER misses with a two punch combination.
Ramon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ramon wants it to stay on the feet.

Ramon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and HUNTER decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ramon's guard.

HUNTER decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ramon, up you get!
HUNTER shoots in and drives through. Ramon sprawls well.
HUNTER throws a head kick but Ramon moves out of range.
Ramon scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Ramon tries to score a power double leg takedown but HUNTER sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ramon somewhat.
Ramon will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ramon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ramon there as he acknowledges the shot.

HUNTER bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
HUNTER is looking to take a break and control but Ramon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
HUNTER wants to control for a moment but Ramon uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
HUNTER will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

HUNTER has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

HUNTER lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by HUNTER.

HUNTER shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than HUNTER was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ramon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as HUNTER walks away with a smile on his face. Ramon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ramon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ramon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jack Ramon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
MAN HUNTER is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for HUNTER, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
