Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the ring accompanied by I believe I can fly. Liddell has chosen DMX Intro as his entrance music. Freddy Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Liddell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Lee pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Liddell drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Liddell.
Liddell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Liddell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Liddell cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Freddy Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Liddell has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Liddell there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Liddell stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Liddell is defending well.

Liddell manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That kick from Liddell tenderised Lee's leg. Lee is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lee missing with a left hand there. Liddell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Liddell cracks Lee with a good jab.
Decent striking displayed by Lee there.
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddell tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddell to the ground. Liddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee walks into a left hand.


It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
Lee swings for the body but Liddell moves out of range.
Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Liddell avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee walks into a left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Liddell dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Freddy Lee's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Lee takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Oooooh!!! Liddell has knocked Lee down with a huge combo! Liddell steps away and waves a wobbly Lee back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Lee is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Liddell instigates a clinch.
Liddell scores with a nice hook to the head.
Liddell makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Liddell is leaning against Lee and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A right hook to the body lands for Liddell.
Liddell lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Liddell lands an uppercut.
Liddell lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Liddell scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Lee takes an elbow to the forehead.
Liddell lands an uppercut.
Liddell lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Come on Liddell - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Liddell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Liddell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Liddell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd cheers as Liddell lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lee doesn't seem phased though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddell misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming.
Liddell is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee.
Liddell lands a high kick!
Mark Liddell seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Liddell is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Lee hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mark Liddell!
