PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bowl OfMung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Overeem kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Barbarian Horde By Hans Zimmer. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OfMung is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Overeem can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fight stays on the outside here - OfMung looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

OfMung tries to land a front kick but Overeem steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
OfMung misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Overeem wants to clinch up but OfMung keeps it at a distance.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for OfMung . He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

OfMung gets control of Overeem's arms and successfully pulls guard. OfMung will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
