Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Deni Subasic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Johnstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Subasic kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is American Dream. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subasic misses with a double jab.
Subasic fails to land with a series of punches.

Subasic darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Subasic tries to pass to full mount but Johnstone defends it.
Subasic missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Subasic is nestled in close to Johnstone, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Johnstone is looking for a sweep. Subasic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Subasic is trying to work for a kimura but Johnstone is defending well.

Johnstone is trying to control but can't.

Subasic is working for a kimura but Johnstone is defending it quite comfortably.
Subasic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Johnstone shoots and misses
and Subasic counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnstone is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Horrible takedown by Johnstone or perhaps it was just good defense by Subasic which made him look bad.

Johnstone closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Johnstone lands in his opponent's guard.
Subasic is breathing heavily.

Johnstone gets to his feet. Subasic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Subasic throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Johnstone scores a takedown into full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnstone wants to take a breather but Subasic is having none of it.
Subasic tries to get to full guard but Johnstone has control of the leg.
Subasic slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Subasic wants to sweep but no luck.

Subasic is looking to sinch up a triangle. Johnstone throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Subasic's body to avoid the submission. Subasic has instead reached around Johnstone's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Subasic arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
