Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tron McFly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lilly the kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McFly comes to the cage accompanied by I Disappear by Metalica. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from McFly misses.
the kid has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by McFly.
the kid blocks a head kick by McFly.
the kid just misses with a punch to the body.
the kid throws a good cross that connects.
McFly takes one on the chin but seems OK.
the kid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McFly takes one to the side of the head.
McFly avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McFly throws out a leg kick but the kid moves out of range and McFly only half commits.
the kid blocks a head kick by McFly.
McFly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McFly throws a right and a left that the kid avoids nicely.
the kid lands a lovely overhand right.
the kid connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
McFly connects with a leg kick. the kid looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
the kid on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

McFly moves away from the strike by the kid.
McFly throws a head kick that the kid semi-blocks.
McFly throws a sloppy head kick and the kid moves out of range easily.
McFly throws a leg kick but the kid moved away.
McFly ducks under a wild hook from the kid.
the kid blocks a head kick by McFly.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

McFly pulls out of a head kick attempt.

the kid misses with a wild body shot.
the kid throws a series of punches but McFly moves out of range.
the kid dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
the kid scores with a punch to the head.

McFly changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

so McFly counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
McFly works a leg free and moves into half guard.
the kid is looking for a sweep. McFly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McFly content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
the kid is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute McFly jumps into side control!

the kid tries to buck McFly off but McFly is having none of it.
the kid wants to control but McFly postures up.
the kid is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McFly is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

the kid is working to get back to half guard.
the kid wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
McFly is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McFly lands strikes to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McFly gets his hands free as the kid looks to control.
McFly keeps control of the position as the kid tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tron McFly dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

the kid swings and misses with a hook to the body.
the kid scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McFly doesn't seem bothered though.
the kid avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
the kid avoids the head kick by McFly.

McFly lands a big head kick that sends the kid tumbling to the mat! McFly takes a step backwards and waves the kid back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Lilly the kid has been cut.
Tron McFly is winning the standup battle so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McFly throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
the kid is still on wobbly legs! Can McFly finish him?
McFly cracks the kid on the jaw with a powerful right hand and the kid falls backwards against the cage. McFly follows up with more strikes that drop the kid to his knees. McFly keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save the kid! This one is all over!
