The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse is looking to clinch.
Nurse misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Partner misses with a lunging right hand
and Nurse counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nurse gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Nurse manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Partner manages to get himself to full guard.
Nurse advances to half guard.
Partner is trying to get back to full guard.
Nurse throwing shots but Partner is blocking nicely.
Nurse has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nurse passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Partner!
A nice elbow there by Nurse.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nurse is landing with some decent strikes but Partner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Partner is rocked!
Nurse drops a big elbow. That's hurt Partner! More shots from Nurse and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
