The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McBride closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sanches to the mat! Sanches manages to get full guard.
McBride trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanches is on top in guard.
McBride tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McBride has hold of Sanches's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sanches manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Juan Sanches seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McBride controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McBride drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McBride jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sanches is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McBride lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sanches!
McBride tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
McBride wants to control the pace but Sanches is squirming around nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McBride trying to control but Sanches is having none of it.
Sanches avoids a strike by McBride and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in McBride's guard! Fantastic escape!
Juan Sanches has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
