Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hattori Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Al Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hattori Chiba!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bundy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Chiba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bundy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chiba counters with a nice uppercut.
Bundy throws a combination that misses
letting Chiba counter with a right hand.
Bundy tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chiba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chiba scores a takedown into full mount!
Chiba fails to move to back control.

Chiba with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Chiba looking to secure an arm triangle but Bundy defends it well.

Chiba wants to finish this one by submission but Bundy is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Chiba.
Chiba wants to take his opponent's back but Bundy doesn't allow it.

Chiba get's back to his feet.

and Chiba counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Chiba drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bundy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Chiba has Bundy in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bundy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chiba is proving hard to escape from.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chiba seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hattori Chiba dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Some wild striking there from Bundy.
Chiba shoots for a double leg takedown but Bundy sprawls well. He's pushed Chiba's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bundy falls off balance throwing a combination

and Chiba counters with a shoot takedown. Bundy fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chiba passes Bundy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Chiba tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bundy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Chiba is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bundy is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
