Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Legen Dary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dary darts in trying to clinch

and Drago counters with a takedown into side control.

Drago working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Drago works to advance to full mount. Dary defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

and Drago counters with a series of strikes. Dary will be more careful next time no doubt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Dary counters with a three punch combo that has Drago backing up. Drago nods at Dary to acknowledge the strikes.
Horrible takedown by Drago or perhaps it was just good defense by Dary which made him look bad.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Drago fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dary, pushing him back against the cage.

Drago has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dary uses from the top position.

Drago throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dary stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Drago maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dary could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Drago has cracked it and Dary is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Drago!
