Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Klein East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). East kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cold as Ice- M.O.P.. Minard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Walk. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for East.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by East.
Minard misses with a leg kick
and East counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Minard lands with a straight right. East didn't see that one coming.
East throws a low kick but Minard moves out of range easily.
Minard uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by East.
Minard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

East shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

and East makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

East takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd cheers as Minard lands an impressive looking overhand right. East doesn't seem phased though.

Minard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before East can pounce on him.
East lands a head shot.

Minard needs to keep his hands up - East had a free shot at his head there.

East misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Minard takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Liam Minard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

East lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

East throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

East shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Minard's guard.

The referee asks East politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. East prefers to stall for the moment though.

I wouldn't like to be where Minard is right now.

East remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
East wants to control but Minard is keeping him busy.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
East misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Minard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but East manages to avoid it.

East shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
