Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Goldman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Standa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goldman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Muse - Uprising. Standa has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goldman has Standa up against the cage in a clinch.
Standa looks gassed!

Goldman has hold of one of Standa's legs. Standa is fighting the takedown attempt but Goldman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Goldman throws a big right hand that misses.

Goldman pushes down on Standa's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Goldman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Goldman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Standa under the eye.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Goldman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Goldman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Standa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Goldman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Goldman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Standa is working an open guard so Goldman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Goldman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Standa's guard.

Goldman clobbers Standa with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Goldman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Standa to his feet.
Standa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Goldman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
