The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Butsikov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butsikov throws an elbow but Filipovic slips to the side and avoids it well.
Filipovic managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Butsikov.

Butsikov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Butsikov swings around for an armbar but Filipovic sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Butsikov's guard.

Butsikov looking for a guillotine here but Filipovic defends easily.

Filipovic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Butsikov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Filipovic has managed to get both his arms back between Butsikov's legs - danger averted.
Filipovic wants to stand but Butsikov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Butsikov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Filipovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Filipovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Butsikov wants to stand and escape but Filipovic is having none of it.

Butsikov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Filipovic has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Butsikov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Filipovic is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Butsikov pulls down on the head and he's put Filipovic to sleep! This one is all over!
