Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fowwest Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Milakaii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gump doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Milakaii counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gump won't be happy with that.
Milakaii looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Milakaii accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Milakaii can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gump seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Milakaii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gump. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gump is pushing down on Milakaii's leg trying to pass to half guard. Milakaii is fighting to maintain full guard but Gump has managed to sneak the leg through.
